The fine print…
All entries must be original recipes and must be received by February 3. From all entries, ten will be selected for tasting by Samantha’s Cafe owners. Selected entrants will be notified by Feb 5. These entrants must provide a sample of their soup to Samantha’s Cafe by closing of business on February 10. If a sample is not received, for any reason, the soup will be disqualified and an alternate soup will be selected. After tasting is complete on February 11, eight finalists will be notified and selected to have their soups featured at Samantha’s Cafe during the month of March. Entrant must provide soup ingredients, enough to produce 4 gallons of soup. Details on delivery of ingredients will be set with individual finalists. These ingredients must be “grocery to cafe” to ensure freshness. Samantha’s Cafe will prepare the featured soups. 50% of each soup sale (not including sales tax) will be donated to the entrants designated charity. All charities must be recognized as such by the IRS and registered with the NYS Charities Bureau.
